Steps to Activate your EV Charger

SETUP GUIDE

Before you begin

A charger may be installed and powered on in your building but not yet ready to activate. Unico Power requires information on the electrical wiring from the installer for activation and charging to commence.

PERSONAL CHARGING SETUP

1. Access your building's landing page
Your building has a dedicated webpage for all information on EV charging. You can review the charging fees there before activation. To access your building's page:

a) Scan the QR code on the metal sign(s) in the parking garage.
b) Scan the QR code on the front of the EV Charger (if applicable)
c) Ask your property manager for the link or welcome email.

2. Sign up for the Unico Power App
Go to the app with the link at the bottom of this page once you have read the instructions. You will require a google, apple, or facebook account to sign with.

3. Link EV charger to your account.

a) Use serial number
When prompted, enter the serial number of your charger. Select any of the images below to enlarge them.
*Note - The letters O and I are not used in serial numbers, these are the numbers 0 (Zero) or 1 (One).

b) Use address & parking stall #
Begin to type the address of your building until it shows up in the search bar. Select it and make any corrections as needed. Enter your stall # and select "Search".

4. Confirmation & Payment Information
Once you have confirmed the correct EV charger and accepted terms and conditions, complete your account registration by entering payment details. Unico Power accepts most major credit cards and uses a secure, encrypted system for payment processing.

5. Enable Charger
On the home page of the app if the EV charger status is "unavailable", select the "enable" button so you can plug in and charge.

Proceed to Activate

Selecting the button will take you to the Unico Power app.

SHARED CHARGING SETUP

1. Scan the QR code on the front of the charger
Scan the QR code to review the charging rates and proceed to charger selection.
If the front of the charger does not have a QR code, make sure you have the physical address of the building for step 3 c).

2. Sign up for the Unico Power App
Go to the app with the link at the bottom of this page once you have read the instructions. You will require a google, apple, or facebook account to sign with.

3. Connect account to the building - Choose 1 of 3 Options

a) Automatic link
If you scan the QR code and select "proceed to signup" from that page, you will be automatically linked to the correct building.

b) Enter signup code
Each building has a quick signup code that you can enter on the registration page in the first box. Obtain yours from the welcome email, building manager or neighbour in the building.

c) Using physical address
In the second box on the registration page, begin typing the address of the building. Suggestions will appear in the box below, if the same address in a different city is suggested, continue typing the city name to get the correct one. Select the correct address and press "Search".

Confirm the building information is correct and select "Link my Account to this Building"

4. Payment Information
Complete your account registration by entering payment details. Unico Power accepts most major credit cards and uses a secure, encrypted system for payment processing.

5. Select EV Charger
You will see a list of shared chargers in the building. The app will indicate which are in use and which can be activated. Plug your vehicle into the desired charging station and select "Activate". You will hear an audible click from the charger and the status will indicate charging.

Proceed to Activate

Selecting the button will take you to the Unico Power app.
