HOW IT WORKS
How to outfit a townhome complex with L2 EV charging without a service upgrade.
METHOD 1
Load Calculation + Demand Control
1. Find the existing demand available for each townhome unit.

2. Set panel demand limit.
Determined by the electrician and set in Unico Power’s system.

3. Listo EMS controls to the limit, intelligently.

The EMS controller is installed in minutes. 4 screws and a 120V outlet.
The EMS ensures the EV Charger does not operate when loads on the suite panel approach the set limit.

As loads on the panel fluctuate, the EV Charger throttles its power up and down to provide optimal charging.
No hard load cuts, no service upgrades. Just a fully charged car every morning.
METHOD 2
Direct Service Monitoring

1. Central Listo EMS on main service.

Internet connection and indoor location to mount EMS required.
200A & 1000A CT models available.
2. Install Listo EMS in the suite(s).

Installed in minutes!
Split core CTs to monitor the suite panel mains.
The EV load is throttled down if loads within the suite panel are high.

3. Power is intelligently shared throughout the complex.
Central EMS controller
monitors main service and allocates availability to suite EV chargers based on total demand in townhome complex.
In-home EMS controller(s)
Monitor home panel, limits EV charging load based on home panel demand AND what is available in complex.
